Rather than acknowledging the camera, Sitou fictitiously portrays himself in the act of composing a photograph. In this image, created by using his camera's automatic setting, Sitou expresses not only his profession but also his ethnicity: his hat and boubou (gown) are Yoruba attire, which he acquired during one of his frequent visits to Nigeria.
