A clay vessel with a spherical body and a short, funnel-shaped neck. The vessel has small, slightly pointed handles on opposite sides of the body; one handle appears to be slightly lower than the other. There is a line around the exterior of the vessel which roughly runs from one handle to the opposite one with the color of the vessel darker brown above this line and a lighter brown/tan below this line.
Provenance research is ongoing for this and many other items in the Eskenazi Museum of Art permanent collection. For more information about the provenance of this artwork, please contact the department curator with specific questions.
